Nhà nàng ở cạnh nhà tôi

Cách nhau cái cọc để phơi áo quần

Hai người nhầm lẫn tứ tung

Nàng như cũng có cái quần giống tôi

Để rồi có một lần phơi

Thế nào tôi lấy nhầm ngay của nàng

… Tôi chiêm bao rất nhẹ nhàng

Thấy nàng hé cửa gọi sang thế này

“Ấy ơi ấy hãy vào đây,

Cho tui đổi lại cái này chút coi”

Lần đầu tiên thấy nàng cười

Nàng che một tấm vải dày ngang eo

“Cái quần duy nhất của em,

Hôm qua anh lấy về bên ấy rồi.”

Chàng nghe rồi tủm tỉm cười,

“Cô đưa tấm vải rồi tôi trả quần.”

Nàng sao chẳng thấy tần ngần,

Kéo phăng tấm vải lộ thân ngọc ngà.

Bỗng chàng vừa chạy vừa la,

“Đâu phải con gái mà là con trai.”

Nàng rượt theo gọi: “Anh hai,

Sao anh hổng chịu trả tôi cái quần.”

Khổ thay cái tội cầm nhầm,

Cộng thêm tội “bé cái lầm” hại thay.

Từ đây phải nhớ chuyện này,

Hàng xóm, hàng xiếc từ nay nên chừa.
