Những thực phẩm giúp ngừa ung thư

Ung thư được xem là một trong những căn bệnh nan y gây tử vong hàng đầu hiện nay trên thế giới. Với tỷ lệ điều trị thành công bệnh ung thư hiện nay còn rất thấp, nhiều người tự hỏi liệu có cách nào có thể phòng ngừa hiệu quả bệnh ung thư trước khi nó xảy ra? Bên cạnh môi trường sống trong lành, chế độ thực phẩm với công dụng ngăn ngừa ung thư hiệu quả đang là lựa chọn hữu ích đối với tất cả mọi người.

Dâu tây

Dâu tây không chỉ là loại quả giàu vitamin và tác dụng làm đẹp da, mà còn là loại quả có chứa nhiều thành phần axits ellagic và các loại chất chống ôxy hoá polyphenol. Các thành phần này có tác dụng ức chế sự phát triển của các tế bào ung thư, ngăn chặn sự biến đổi của các tế bào và tăng cường sức đề kháng cho các tế bào trong cơ thể. Dâu tây được xem là loại quả giúp giảm béo và ngăn ngừa ung thư rất tốt.

Sôcôla

Từ lâu, hạt ca cao đã được biết đến là loại hạt có giá trị và rất tốt cho sức khoẻ. Người dân địa phương vùng Nam Mỹ coi  côca  là loại hạt dùng để chữa bệnh và cây côca được trồng rất nhiều ở vùng này. Sôcôla đen có chứa tới 70% ca cao, không chỉ là loại thực phẩm có vị rất hấp dẫn mà còn có chứa rất nhiều chất chống ôxy hoá và các polyphenols hữu ích. Ngoài ra trong sôcôla còn có chứa thành phần có tên gọi catechin (là thành phần có chứa nhiều trong trà xanh có tác dụng phòng bệnh tim mạch, đột quỵ và ung thư.

Gừng và nghệ

Gừng và nghệ không chỉ là gia vị trong chế biến thực phẩm mà còn là vị thuốc có nhiều tác dụng hiệu quả. Các nghiên cứu về tác dụng của gừng cho thấy, trong gừng có chứa nhiều thành phần chống nhiễm khuẩn có tác dụng làm chậm quá trình phát triển của tế bào ung thư. Trong khi đó, các thành phần trong nghệ – một loại củ thuộc họ gừng còn có khả năng tiêu diệt các tế bào ung thư. Thành phần này có tên khoa học là curcumin.

Trà xanh

Nghiên cứu về các tác dụng của trà xanh, các nhà khoa học đều khẳng định trà xanh rất có lợi cho sức khoẻ. Uống một đến 2 tách trà xanh nóng hoặc lạnh mỗi ngày có thể giúp cơ thể hấp thụ một lượng lớn epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) và catechins – đều là các thành phần giúp ngăn ngừa nguy cơ mắc ung thư, đặc biệt EGCG còn có tác dụng làm chậm sự phát triển của tế bào ung thư dạ dày và ung thư phổi. Nghiên cứu của các nhà khoa học Mỹ và Nhật Bản đều khẳng định, giá trị phòng ung thư của trà xanh và tác động chống lão hoá, chống nhiễm khuẩn của loại lá trà này.

Vitamin D

Các thực phẩm có chứa vitamin D đều rất tốt cho sức khoẻ, đồng thời có tác dụng phòng ngừa bệnh ung thư. Rất nhiều nghiên cứu về tác dụng của vitamin D đối với cơ thể con người đã cho thấy tác dụng tăng cường hệ miễn dịch, giảm nguy cơ mắc bệnh đường ruột và ung thư vú. Vitamin D có thể được hấp thụ qua da khi tiếp xúc với ánh sáng mặt trời, song theo các nhà khoa học nên bổ sung vitamin D cho cơ thể tốt nhất thông qua các loại thực phẩm như cá hồi, cá mòi, cá thu và nhiều loại cá biển khác.

Thực phẩm chứa folate

Các nghiên cứu về tác dụng của các loại vitamin đã cho thấy: Axit folic hay còn gọi là vitamin B9 là thành phần vitamin duy nhất trong nhóm vitamin có tác dụng ngăn ngừa ung thư. Khi cơ thể bị thiếu folate, hệ miễn dịch bị suy giảm và nguy cơ mắc ung thư tăng cao hơn bình thường. Do vậy, các chuyên gia dinh dưỡng luôn khuyến cáo cần bổ sung đầy đủ vitamin B9 cho cơ thể để ngăn ngừa ung thư. Thực phẩm giàu folate bao gồm các loại rau xanh, các loại đậu hạt rất tốt cho sức khoẻ.

Rau cải

Một số nghiên cứu của các nhà khoa học Mỹ đã chỉ ra rằng: Các loại rau thuộc họ cải gồm cải xanh, cải bắp, xúp lơ, củ cải, cải bó xôi…. có chứa nhiều thành phần dinolylmethane, sulforaphane và element selenium là các thành phần chống lại quá trình ung thư và biến đổi tế bào trong cơ thể.

Ngoài ra, trong các loại cải bó xôi, củ cải, cà rốt và cà chua… còn có chứa rất nhiều beta carotene, lutein và zeaxanthin… có tác dụng ức chế sự phát triển của ung thư. Đây cũng là các thực phẩm giàu folate.

Rượu vang đỏ

Mặc dù uống nhiều rượu rất có hại cho sức khoẻ, song một chút rượu vang đỏ từ trái nho lại có chứa rất nhiều thành phần resveratrol (có trong vỏ quả nho) là thành phần ngăn ngừa nguy cơ phát triển bệnh tim mạch và ung thư rất hiệu quả. Các nghiên cứu dinh dưỡng học đã chỉ rõ, uống một chút rượu vang đỏ mỗi ngày rất tốt cho hệ tim mạch, đông thời có thể ngăn ngừa các bệnh ung thư gan, ung thư vú và ung thư dạ dày.
